Report: “Holidays: culture or entertainment?”
This report is intended to analyse what people usually do during their holidays, considering whether they spend their time for culture or entertainment.
First of all, I took a look at my friends’ holiday activities and then I compared them to those of older people, such as their parents.
After analysing the answers received from numerous interviews, it was found that:
1) For most teenagers holidays are synonym of fun and entertainment. They usually spend their time with friends, playing computer games or going to the seaside for some days.
2) Adults during their holidays generally enjoy going abroad to visit some new places and historical sites, in order to extend their knowledge and culture. On the other hand many of them just want to relax and have fun, forgetting their common and stressful working routine.
To sum up, nowadays people don’t have much time to spend for themselves because they have to go to work or school plus they have to do other everyday activities.
So in my opinion people want to spend their holidays relaxing and having fun.
To conclude I think that entertainment, instead of culture, is what people really want to have during their holidays.


(ITALIANO) Scrivere una relazione che analizza quello che le persone fanno durante le vacanze e dire ciò che pensi sia meglio fare, passare il tempo per la cultura o per l'intrattenimento?

Relazione: "Vacanze: cultura o divertimento?"
La presente relazione ha lo scopo di analizzare ciò che la gente fa di solito durante le vacanze, considerando che spendono il loro tempo sia per la cultura sia per divertirsi.
Prima di tutto, ho osservato le attività della vacanza dei miei amici e poi le ho confrontate a quelle degli anziani, e dei loro genitori.
Dopo aver analizzato le risposte ricevute da numerose interviste, è stato possibile constatare che:
1) Per la maggior parte degli adolescenti le  vacanze sono sinonimo di divertimento e intrattenimento. Di solito passano il loro tempo con gli amici, a giocare con il computer o andare al mare per alcuni giorni.
2) Gli adulti durante le loro vacanze in genere preferiscono andare all'estero per visitare nuovi luoghi e siti storici, al fine di ampliare le loro conoscenze e la loro cultura. D'altra parte molti di loro vogliono solo rilassarsi e divertirsi, dimenticando la loro routine di lavoro comune e stressante.
Per riassumere, al giorno d'oggi le persone non hanno molto tempo da spendere per se stessi, perché devono andare al lavoro o a scuola ed hanno da fare altre attività quotidiane.
Quindi, a mio parere la gente vuole trascorrere le proprie vacanze all'insegna del relax e del divertimento.
Per concludere credo che l'intrattenimento, invece della cultura, è quello che la gente vuole veramente avere durante le loro vacanze.

ESSAY: “There is far too much sport on television”
Many people think that there is too much sport on television, in my opinion it is not true and on the contrary I would like even more.
Firstly, a lot of people do some sports so I think that they will also enjoy seeing the sports they do on television.
Secondly, in my opinion there is not too much sport on television, for example only a few football matches are shown and if you want to follow your favourite team, you have to pay in order to watch all their matches.
Lastly, nowadays there are a lot of television channels and a lot of programmes so if you don’t like sports, you only have to avoid channels that are focused on sports and search for channels that show films or what you prefer.
In conclusion I believe that sport is very important for most of the people of the world and so it requires to be shown frequently on television.

Molte persone pensano che non ci sia troppo sport in televisione, a mio parere non è vero e, al contrario, mi piacerebbe che ce ne sia ancora di più.
In primo luogo, un sacco di gente fa sport quindi penso che potranno anche godere vedendo gli sport che fanno in televisione.
In secondo luogo, a mio parere non c'è troppo sport in televisione, ad esempio, vengono mostrate solo poche partite di calcio e se si volesse seguire la propria squadra del cuore, si deve pagare per guardare tutte le partite.
Infine, al giorno d'oggi ci sono un sacco di canali televisivi e un sacco di programmi, quindi se non piace lo sport, si deve solo evitare i canali che si concentrano sullo sport e cercare canali che mostrano film o quello che si preferisce.
In conclusione, ritengo che lo sport è molto importante per la maggior parte delle persone del mondo e quindi è richiesto di essere mostrato spesso in televisione.

(INGLESE) How do you think people will travel in the future? What changes will there be and what differences will these make to the way we live?

CARS WITHOUT DRIVERS
Have you ever thought about transport machines which don’t pollute? Can you imagine a car that drives without human control and leads you where you want in the shortest possible time? Well this will be real in the next 10 years!
Cars in these years are evolving and nowadays some new cars, which use electricity instead of petrol, have already been tested. This means that in the next years cars will not create smog, a big problem especially for metropolis.
People will not have to go to the gas station and spend a lot of money because they will be able to recharge their cars easily in their homes.
I also think that not so far in the future high quality sensors of movement and navigation systems will be integrated in cars which will be able to drive autonomously and to find the best way to reach their destinations, selecting streets without traffic.
In conclusion, transport in the future will simplify the way to travel, becoming easier, safer and less polluting.


(ITALIANO) Come pensi che la gente si sposterà in futuro? Quali cambiamenti e quali differenze ci saranno al nostro modo di vivere?

Avete mai pensato alle macchine da trasporto che non inquinano? Riuscite ad immaginare una macchina che guida, senza il controllo umano e che vi possa portare dove vogliate nel più breve tempo possibile? Beh questo sarà possibile nei prossimi 10 anni!
In questi anni le auto si stanno evolvendo e oggi alcune nuove auto, che utilizzano l'elettricità al posto della benzina, sono già stati testati. Ciò significa che nei prossimi anni le automobili non creeranno smog, un grosso problema soprattutto per le metropoli.
La gente non dovrà andare alla stazione di benzina e spendere un sacco di soldi, perché saranno in grado di ricaricare le loro auto facilmente dalle loro case.
Penso anche che non ci vorrà molto, nel futuro, per i sensori ad alta qualità di movimento ed i sistemi di navigazione che saranno integrati nelle auto per guidare in modo autonomo e trovare il modo migliore per raggiungere le proprie destinazioni, scegliendo strade senza traffico.
In conclusione, il trasporto in futuro semplificherà il modo di viaggiare, diventando più facile, più sicuro e meno inquinante.

(INGLESE) This text speaks about how students nowdays cheat at school during lessons or exams.
Many young people believe that deceiving is wrong. However, they have cheated once at least during their high school years.
According to some scholars, one of the main reasons why students cheat, is because they are afraid of their own parent's reaction to a bad-done exam.
This means that there will always be students, who will do anything for a better note.
The students do their best to cheat even at the cost of using technology such as mobile phones to send answers to a test. There is also Internet, where students get useful information to use in their projects.
What it is important, is that it is wrong.
It should not be deceived because the deception is a lie.
You can not be proud of something you have reached by cheating.
At the end, you mustn't fool your teachers and parents, since, if you do it, you are fooling yourself, without using what it's really in your power!

(ITALIANO) Questo testo parla di come gli studenti oggigiorno barano a scuola durante le lezioni o esami.
Molti giovani credono che ingannare sia sbagliato. Tuttavia, essi hanno imbrogliato almeno una volta durante i loro anni di scuola superiore.
Secondo alcuni studiosi, uno dei motivi principali per cui gli studenti barano, è che hanno paura della reazione dei propri genitore per un compito andato male.
Questo significa che ci saranno sempre gli studenti, che faranno di tutto per un voto migliore.

Piccolo testo in inglese dove si spiega perché la gente barra anche nello sport.

(INGLESE) Most people cheat by "insecurity," the anxiety of failure and inability to do what you are trying to do, so you fools hoping that nobody will notice, to complete the job. This is true not only in sports but in everything else.
As they say: "to err is human, to persevere is diabolical." For me it's wrong, but to a certain point, because if the person believed to be the best solution and that is the only thing he can do in that time, cheating, sure it will bring harm to others. but maybe it could never recarne to itself if it went bankrupt. But I am also of the view that the real failure is when you stop trying, so you should never give up and if you fail try again until you succeed.
I do not know if there are any solution to this problem but it sure is nice and you do not cheat by also feels guilty, unless you care nothing of others. The important thing is to feel good about themselves.
The only way to stop cheating in sport I think there is, because if we impose guidelines, limits, and if we will make drastic choices there will always be someone who will find ways to overcome them and cheat again: is a tunnel with no exit.

(ITALIANO) La maggior parte delle persone imbroglia per "insicurezza", per ansia da fallimento e per l'incapacità di fare ciò che si sta cercando di fare, imbrogliano per completare il loro lavoro sperando che nessuno se ne accorga. Questo è vero non solo nello sport, ma dappertutto.
Come si dice: "errare è umano, perseverare è diabolico". Per me è sbagliato, ma fino ad un certo punto, perché se la persona crede che sia la soluzione migliore e che l'unica cosa che può fare in quel momento sia barare, è sicuro che porterà un danno ad altri ma forse non avrebbe mai potuto recarne a se stessi se avesse fallito. Ma sono anche del parere che il vero fallimento è quando si smette di provare, quindi non si dovrebbe mai rinunciare e se non si riesce ancora provare fino a riuscire.
Non so se ci sono soluzioni a questo problema, ma certo il bello è non imbrogliare per non sentirsi anche in colpa, a meno che non importa nulla degli altri. La cosa più importante è sentirsi bene con se stessi.
Un modo per fermare gli imbrogli nello sport penso che esista, però se imponiamo linee guida, limiti, e se faremo delle scelte drastiche ci sarà sempre qualcuno che troverà il modo di superarli e imbrogliare di nuovo: è un tunnel senza uscita.

(INGLESE) I feel pessimistic about the future of the earth because everyday with pollution and global warming we damage it.
For example after 90 years, how life will look like?. It'll be such as now or better than now ? In my opinion it'll be worse than now, because people aren't interested in the future of the planet, the future of our life. Maybe after 90 years life will be better, I hope it will be better but personally I think that in the future there will be more problems than now because if the oil runs out, what will happen? A lot of nation will fall poverty; nation like Saudi Arabia or Libia.
Oil is very important for the industry because with it we create plastic material, we can use car, bus and other transports, therefore oil industry and all the industries who use oil to create their products will become poor if it finishes. If we don't pay attention to all the problems of the planet, for example pollution, ozone layer, global warming, missing rubbish recycle, in the future life will be more difficult for all the inhabitants of the planet.
Always more people and nation use alternative energy sources but there isn't enough energy for everyone, we must use renewable energy such as solar panels to make hot water or special light bulbs to save energy, we must do the recycle to save the Earth.
Pollution is one of the biggest problem that we have to face, can we stop it ? In my opinion we can reduce pollution but we can't stop it because we have a lifestyle that we can't stop but we can absolutely change it, and if we do it I'm sure that we will reduce pollution.

(ITALIANO) Mi sento pessimista sul futuro della terra, perché tutti i giorni con l'inquinamento e il riscaldamento globale noi lo danneggiamo.
Per esempio, dopo 90 anni, come sarà la vita? Sarà come adesso o meglio? A mio parere sarà peggio di adesso, perché le persone non sono interessate al futuro del pianeta, il futuro della nostra esistenza. Forse dopo 90 anni la vita sarà migliore, spero che andrà meglio, ma personalmente penso che in futuro ci saranno più problemi di adesso, perché se il petrolio si esaurisce, che cosa accadrà? Un sacco di nazioni cadranno in povertà; nazioni come l'Arabia Saudita o la Libia.
Il petrolio è molto importante per l'industria perché con esso si crea la plastica, che si può usare nelle auto, nei bus e in altri mezzi di trasporto, quindi l'industria del petrolio e tutte le industrie che utilizzano petrolio per creare i loro prodotti cadranno in povertà se finisce. Se non prestiamo attenzione a tutti i problemi del pianeta, ad esempio l'inquinamento, ozono, riscaldamento globale, riciclo dei rifiuti, la vita futura sarà più difficile per tutti gli abitanti del pianeta.
Sempre più persone e le nazioni utilizzano fonti energetiche alternative, ma non c'è abbastanza energia per tutti, dobbiamo utilizzare energia rinnovabile come i pannelli solari per produrre acqua calda o lampadine speciali per risparmiare energia, dobbiamo fare il riciclo per salvare la Terra.
L'inquinamento è uno dei più grandi problemi che dobbiamo affrontare, possiamo fermarlo? A mio parere siamo in grado di ridurre l'inquinamento, ma non possiamo fermarlo perché abbiamo uno stile di vita che non possiamo fermare, ma possiamo assolutamente cambiare, e se lo facciamo sono sicuro che faremo ridurre l'inquinamento.

(INGLESE) The beginning of each school year seems a long journey, almost interminable, day after day you live according to a precise rhythm, immutable, school, lessons, questions, explanations, home, homework, study, brief moments of distraction, on Saturday evening, Sunday, a party, a walk.
We are used slowly, or perhaps we resigned to the slow passage of time.
During the long winter months I sighed, more often, pending the arrival of May, pending the end of the class.
Then suddenly you realize that June is near, so another school year draws to a close. We guys are pretty routine: even if we were not really good in one place, we come to hear us.
For a year we lived together, we joked, laughed, cried too. sometimes, but always together as a family.
On a screen pass in my mind memories of a year one after another: the happy first day of school, and then immediately homework questions. How hard was, I remember, get back to study after the summer. The study weighed. How many hours spent in my room, dreaming, sometimes, spring, and these days the end of school year. I remember everything. Small and big disappointments, moments of happiness or anxiety, waiting, misunderstandings, discussions at home and at school, the everyday life.
And it's nice to talk of a hazard when it is already far away remember the day after to hear lectures and homework, the cunning and successful ones, the most frequent failures, the atmosphere of friendship that you have created.
This confirms the belief that a year has not gone in vain, that we used well, learning new things.

So let's spend another few good these days, studying, and later on, finally away from homework, tuition, books, notebooks .. and teachers!

(ITALIANO) L'inizio di ogni anno scolastico sembra un cammino lungo, quasi interminabile: giorno dopo giorno si vive secondo un ritmo preciso, immutabile, scuola, lezioni, interrogazioni, spiegazioni, casa, compiti, studio, brevi momenti di distrazione, il sabato sera, la domenica, una festa, una passeggiata.
Ci siamo abituati, lentamente, o forse ci siamo rassegnati, al lento trascorrere del tempo.
Nei lunghi mesi invernali ho sospirato, spesso e volentieri, in attesa dell'arrivo di Maggio, in attesa della fine delle lezioni.
Poi improvvisamente ti accorgi che Giugno è vicino, cosi un altro anno scolastico sta per finire. Noi ragazzi siamo piuttosto abitudinari: anche se ci siamo trovati non proprio bene in un luogo, finiamo per sentirlo nostro.
Per un anno, abbiamo vissuto insieme, abbiamo scherzato, riso, pianto anche. qualche volta, ma sempre insieme, come una famiglia.
Passano su uno schermo nella mia mente i ricordi di un anno, uno dietro l'altro: gli allegri primi giorni di scuola, e poi subito i compiti, le interrogazioni. Come era duro, io ricordo, rimettersi a studiare dopo l'estate. Lo studio pesava. Quante ore trascorse nella mia stanza, sognando, certe volte, la primavera, e questi giorni di fine anno scolastico. Ricordo tutto. I piccoli e i grandi dispiaceri, i momenti di felicità o di ansia, di attesa, le incomprensioni, le discussioni, a casa e a scuola, la vita di ogni giorno.
E poi è bello parlare di un pericolo, quando esso è ormai lontano: ricordare i giorni trascorsi a sentire lezioni e a fare i compiti, le astuzie riuscite e quelle, più frequenti, fallite, l'atmosfera di amicizia che si è creata.
Questo conferma il convincimento che un anno non è passato invano, che l'abbiamo utilizzato bene, apprendendo nuove cose.
Di certo non verserò lacrime sulla chiusura della scuola: mi aspetta il sole, la libertà, la serenità, e tante altre piccole ma grandi cose. Poi la scuola non è certo finita, purtroppo: due o tre mesi e poi si ricomincerà con l'ultimo anno, con la maturità.
Quindi cerchiamo di trascorrere bene questi altri pochi giorni, di studiare, e poi via, finalmente lontano da compiti, lezioni, libri, quaderni.. e professori !

Tema di inglese dove bisogna parlare di un animale che si vuole comprare/adottare.

(INGLESE) I would like to adopt a pet of medium size. No matter how it costs, until it's not too much. I wish it were very friendly and playful. I'd rather it not to have diseases, for his sake, but also for mine. I have a big house and a spacious garden, so it does not matter if it needs a lot of space. It should eat kibble, canned meat or insects, but not other animals (ma gli insetti sono animali...). I think I'd prefer a pet because in my opinion exotic animals should live in their own habitat, far away from human beings.

(ITALIANO) Vorrei un animale da compagnia di taglia media. Non importa quanto costi, basta non sia un prezzo troppo alto. Io vorrei che fosse molto amichevole e giocoso. Io preferirei che non avesse malattie, per il suo bene, ma anche per il mio. Io ho una casa ed un giardino molto spaziosi, perciò non importa se occupa molto spazio. E' molto importante che si cibi di cose come crocchette, carne in scatola o insetti e non di altri animali. Io forse sceglierei un animale tradizionale perché penso che gli animali esotici dovrebbero vivere negli spazi aperti, lontano dall'uomo.

(INGLESE) A typical traditional dish in British pub is steak pie, usually accompanied by glass of beer. It seem innocuous but members of three major world religions are horrified by a meal like this. Muslims refuse to drink alchool, Hiundus refuse to eat beef (because the cow is a sacred animal) and Buddhists do not eat any animal at all. Both Muslims and Jews refuse to eat pork because the meat comes from a pig.
On the other hand, you can't give the customers in the pub a pie containing horsemeat. In Britain that is only for dogs, but in France and other European countries horsemeat is part of human diet. The French also eat other creatures, snail and frogs, that you never find on an English menu. Offer a plate of roast dog a French or an English person, however, and they are both disgusted. But in China dogs are delicacy, and they were a delicacy for the ancient Romans and Greeks too. All societies regrad certain food as taboo.
Not many Europeans want to eat ants, caterpillars, locusts and duck's feet. But, all over the world, people eat them every day: ants in South America and Africa, caterpillars among the Australian aborigines, losusts in Africa and among the Navaho Indians in North America and ducke's feet in China.

(ITALIANO) Un piatto tipico tradizionale nei pub britannici è la "steak pie" (torta di carne, una bistecca in pastasfoglia cotta in forno), solitamente accompagnata con un bicchiere di birra.
Sembra innocuo, ma i membri delle tre maggiori religioni del mondo sarebbero disgustati da un pasto del genere: i musulmani si rifiutano di bere alcolici, gli induisti si rifiutano di mangiare la carne bovina (perché la mucca è un animale sacro) e i buddisti si rifiutano di mangiare qualsiasi animale.
Sia i musulmani che gli ebrei si rifiutano di mangiare carne suina perché viene (deriva) dal maiale.
D'altro canto, non puoi servire ai clienti del pub carne di cavallo. In Gran Bretagna questa è solo per i cani, ma in Francia e in altri paesi europei fa parte della dieta delle persone. In Francia, inoltre, si mangiano anche altre creature, come chiocciole e rane, che non troverai mai in un menù inglese. Offrite un piatto di arrosto di cane ad un inglese o un francese e ne saranno disgustati, ma in Cina è una specialità, e lo era anche per gli antichi romani e greci. Ogni società ha dei tabù riguardo certi tipi di cibo.
La maggior parte degli europei non mangia formiche, vermi, locuste e zampe di anatra. ma, nel mondo, alcune persone mangiano queste cose tutti i giorni: le formiche in Sud America e Africa, i vermi vengono mangiati dagli aborigeni australiani, le locuste in Africa e dagli indiani navacho in Nord America e le zampe di anatra in Cina.

Most of London pubs offer a wide variety of hot and cold food and excellent sandwiches.
It's illegal to serve alcohol to anyone under 18 years old.

(ITALIANO) Nel Regno Unito, ci sono molti pub, perché sono un centro di incontro per persone di ogni età.
La parola pub significa "casa pubblica".
Molte persone preferiscono i pub per incontrare amici e per bere.

Tema non molto lungo sulla musica e sull'utilità che ha soprattutto nei giovani.

(INGLESE) For today's young people the music is very important. With the evolution of the technology we can listen to it in every place through the small tools like the Ipod. As a matter of fact the world of the music has always fascinated the people, because through it we can day-dream or even remember some beautiful moments, sad or happy.
It often happens to me to lock my self in my bedroom to listen to the music, and in the moments of melancholy, listening to the old songs, they made my remember of the memoirs. Frequently it happened to me to associate some song to people who are really important to me, but other times it happens me to think about the thoughtlessness of my childhood.
I believe that the music is very important, because through it we can day-dream, to think about something of really importance, we can relax there during the moments of nervousness.

(ITALIANO) Per i giovani di oggi la musica è molto importante. Con l'evoluzione della tecnologia siamo in grado di ascoltarla in ogni luogo attraverso dei piccoli strumenti come l'Ipod. E' un dato di fatto che il mondo della musica ha sempre affascinato le persone, perché attraverso essa si può sognare ad occhi aperti o anche ricordare alcuni momenti belli, tristi o felici.
Spesso mi capita di chiudermi nella mia camera da letto per ascoltare la musica, e nei momenti di malinconia, ascoltare vecchie canzoni, mi tornano in mente certi ricordi. Spesso mi capita di associare una canzone ad alcune persone per me molto importanti, ma altre volte mi capita di pensare la spensieratezza di quando ero bambino.
Credo che la musica sia molto importante, perché attraverso di essa possiamo sognare ad occhi aperti, riflettere su qualcosa di molto importante, rilassarci durante i momenti di nervosismo.

Today's society is very changed than the past one; as a matter of fact we can also see the differences in our parents's acts.
Nowadays youth have got more freedom and they can do what they want to do. This problem is caused by the development of tecnology and 'cause of the education of children. Youth can't live without tecnology ( personal computer etc. ), and it has its pros and cons [ ha i suoi pro e contro ]: it could be a good thing 'cause personal computer can be used for studying but at the same time it could be a bad thing too 'cause it can distract with chat and forum ( and this doesn't represent an education form ).
Another important invention is the mobile; it can be its pros and cons too: our parents can always call whenever they want and know what we are doing and where we are but usually mobile phone is not properly used.
Nowadays parents are afraid of their sons's future 'cause of drugs, alcoholism etc. and sons think parents are too exaggerated, too protective, but I think it's good 'cause new society is very hard and it's important to have our parents next to us as our life's teachers.

(ITALIANO) La società di oggi è così pericolosa che i genitori devono essere più severi rispetto al passato. Sei d'accordo?

La società di oggi è molto cambiata rispetto al passato; questo è un dato di fatto che possiamo anche vedere dalle differenze azioni dei nostri genitori.
Oggi i giovani hanno più libertà e possono fare quello che vogliono. Questo problema è causato dallo sviluppo della tecnologia e al modo di educare i figli. La gioventù non può vivere senza tecnologia (personal computer, ecc), ha i suoi pro e contro: possono essere una cosa positiva perché i computer servono anche per studiare, ma allo stesso tempo possono essere una cosa negativa perché sono motivo di distrazione attraverso le chat ed i forum (e questo non rappresenta una forma di istruzione).
Un'altra importante invenzione è quella del cellulare; anch'esso ha i suoi pro e molti contro: i nostri genitori possono sempre chiamare quando vogliono e sapere cosa stiamo facendo e dove siamo, ma di solito il telefono cellulare non viene utilizzato correttamente.
Al giorno d'oggi i genitori hanno paura del futuro dei loro figli per problemi legati alla droga, all'alcolismo, ecc ed i figli pensano che i genitori siano troppo esagerato, troppo protettivi, ma penso che questo sia un bene perché la nuova società è molto più difficile ed è importante avere i propri genitori accanto come insegnanti di vita.

But playing sport has also drawbacks especially in professional fields where there is often talk of doping levels to achieve better and better.
However ultimately there are few risks to make sport and certainly have more benefits.

E' utile perché è un modo per scaricare la tensione e l'ansia soprattutto per gli studenti che che aspettano con ansia le loro verifiche o esami. Ma facendo sport si hanno anche inconvenienti soprattutto nei settori professionali in cui si è spesso sentito parlare di doping per ottenere delle prestazioni migliori.

(ITALIANO): Io penso che Internet sia un importante e potente risorsa in mano a noi giovani, tranne quando se ne fa un utilizzo scorretto, sfortunatamente molto spesso i ragazzi utilizzano il web per offendere in anonimo. Ora internet è diventato un mondo virtuale e sono quasi sicuro che tra qualche anno rivoluzionerà il modo di agire di molte persone. È importante capire come utilizzare il web in modo positivo. Ad esempio internet può essere un enorme enciclopedia virtuale, un modo per visitare città e nuovi luoghi seduto nella tua scrivania. Come ultima cosa ma non meno importante, è creare una polizia virtuale. Questo è l'unico modo per preservare Internet. Il web è un importante risorsa nelle nostre mani ma molte persone non se ne rendono conto. Utilizzarlo in maniera costruttiva è nostro dovere.

(INGLESE): I think the Internet is an important and powerful resource in the hands of young people, unless they use it in an wrong way. Unfortunately it frequently happens that kids use the web in order to offend other people anonymously. Nowadays the Internet has become a virtual world and i'm almost sure about the fact that in a few more years it's going to revolutionize how we behave. It's crucial to understand how to use the web in a positive way. For instance, the Internet can be a huge encyclopedia, a way to visit cities and new places (or "spots"), while sitting at your desk. Last but not least, it would be important to create a virtual police. That's the only way to preserve the Internet. The web could be a useful device in our hands but it seems like a lot of people are not able to realize that. It's really our duty to use it constructively.

They’re so successful because they’re very funny and entertaining, there are a lot of videogames so you can choose which you prefer and play it as a way to relax your selves or to play in company with your friends in fact when you play videogames you can also speak and interact with other people who is playing with you, so it’s very funny because you work as a team and I think that playing with other foreign people improves your English skills.
The major part of teenagers plays videogames as a way to escape from reality, this can be positive sometimes because you can take a break and relax your selves but it can be also dangerous because some people doesn’t distinguish reality and fantasy anymore.
Vey often Videogames especially for children and teenagers become an addiction, and they play hours and hours a day, losing their contact with reality and with the other people.
Sometimes videogames can also increase violence but another big problem is that they’re very expensive!
A new videogame costs about 70$! I find it too much.
To conclude I can say that, also from my experience, videogames are very entertaining and interesting and you really enjoy your selves playing them but when you start to play it’s difficult to stop and probably you become addicted so if you don’t have to go too far with them!

I videogiochi stanno diventando sempre più popolari tra le persone di tutte le età, soprattutto negli adolescenti e nei bambini. Hanno così tanto successo perché sono molto piacevole e divertenti, ci sono un sacco di videogiochi in modo da poter scegliere quello che si preferisce giocare come un modo per rilassarsi in compagnia di amici infatti. Quando si gioca ai videogiochi si può anche parlare e interagire con altre persone con la quale si sta giocando, quindi è molto divertente perché si lavora come una squadra e credo che giocare con altre persone straniere migliora anche le competenze linguistiche .
La maggior parte degli adolescenti gioca ai videogiochi come un modo per sfuggire dalla realtà, questo può essere positivo a volte perché si può prendere una pausa e rilassarsi ma può essere anche pericoloso perché alcune persone non riescono più distinguere la realtà dal gioco e dalla fantasia.
I Videogames soprattutto per i bambini ed adolescenti creano dipendenza, ci giocano ore e ore al giorno, perdendo il contatto con la realtà e con le altre persone. A volte i videogiochi possono anche aumentare la violenza, ma un altro grosso problema è che sono molto costosi! Un nuovo videogioco costa circa 70 $! Penso sia un prezzo esagerato.
Per concludere posso dire che, anche dalla mia esperienza, i videogiochi sono molto divertenti e interessanti e mi piace provarli e giocarci, ma quando si inizia a giocare è difficile fermarsi e probabilmente si diventa dipendenti, quindi non bisogna passare troppo tempo con essi!

Malta is a very nice place, one of the places I liked most and I will surely remember is the blue Grotto of Malta. I really enjoyed the trip that we did with some boats around the caves, it was amazing. The sea was incredible, at 4 metres of depth you could already see perfectly the ground under sea. In general I liked very much the sea of Malta, it was unique, I won’t forget it. I will also remember all the festivity that the people did for the elections, in the streets all the people were crazy and made a lot of noise with their cars!

Here in Malta We went to an English school every day except the week end. Here an English teacher explained us some arguments useful for using correctly the English language. I really enjoyed the school, it was a bit difficult at the beginning but at last I think that we have learned a lot. I really liked our teacher, Brian, who was very nice and very good to teach us English. His lessons were very engaging, interesting and also very funny.

We had been all the week in the home of a Maltese family. The house was quite nice, it was clean and it had a lot of rooms because the family gave hospitality to a lot of students. In general the family was very kind and nice, they had also a very nice cat and a small bird. The thing I don’t like were their meals. They didn’t eat very much, and they didn’t cook very well too, so often we had to go outside in the evening for eating something more.

In our free time during the afternoons we usually went around Malta to see some important places or we went shopping. Instead during the evenings we usually went for a walk along the seaside. We had visited a lot of shops around Malta and I’ve realized that a lot of things cost a bit less than here in Italy so I’ve made a lot of purchases. We also went for two nights to Paceville, a district heavily populate with nightclubs, discos, bars, pubs and restaurants. We went in some discos for dancing and having fun. I really liked those two nights!

In conclusion, I really enjoyed this trip to Malta. I really liked the natural environment like the sea, the beach, the green lands. I find Malta a very nice place because there are a lot of fields, a lot of flowers and plants around the Island. Another thing I loved of Malta was the weather! It’s warmer than here in Italy so some days we could go outside with only a t-shirt, and we could go swimming too! That is amazing if we think that we are only in March! But the weather wasn’t very good at all, in fact it was very variable, sometimes there was the sun and 5 minutes later it started raining then the sun returned and so on. It was unpredictable so you should keep every time with you a jacket for safety. Another thing I don’t like of Malta was the city in general, the houses seems a bit poor and old and also the quality of the life seems a bit lower than in Italy. Another thing I didn’t like of Malta was the food! Their food is nothing in comparison to the Italian food. So the trip to Malta had some positive and negative sides but in general I really enjoyed my self and if I have the opportunity I will come there for a summer holiday in the sea.
